Running courses - Bora Bora, French Polynesia

By Runtheplanet.com
Bora Bora is called "The pearl of the Pacific" and it's true. It is a very small island surrounded by several "motu" (islets) holding inside this natural "ring" probably the most fascinating colors you can ever imagine the Ocean to be. The water between the main island of Bora Bora and her surrounding islets is not deep at all, so my very honest suggestion is to take long walks right into this pale blue and light green sea. Should you want to be a serious runner you can instead easily run around the only road circling the main island. It is a little less than twenty miles long. There are lots of dogs and chickens that will join you in the effort, but you can always distract them with one of the many coconuts you see on the ground along your way.
