Paralela avenue, with about 13k of length, small hill, grass and some trees. It starts near Sara Kubischec hospital and extends until the "1ª Rótula do Aeroporto Internacional Luis Eduardo Magalhães". You can hydrate your body at the gas stations stores (Posto 1, Posto 2 and Posto 3) where you can found isotonic drinks and water. The best time for training is early in the morning before the heavy car traffic.

The 21k course from Farol da Barra to Sereia de Itapoan is a great choice for the
long runs that we need to do while training for the marathon. The course, along Salvador seashore, is mostly flat. You run partially on the bicycle lane, partially on the sidewalk, and there are many "quiosques" where you can drink coconut water. In the summer it is suggested to choose the time when the temperature is not so high.

The Parque metropolitano de Pituaçu has a shadowed 15k course which is very popular and safe. The park has bikes for rent, toilets, restaurants and "quiosques" where you can by coconut water that is great to hydrate your body after the workout.

Run anywhere along the coast: 90% of the beaches have a sidewalk primarily for runners and bikers. Best time to run is during the morning. Take a little money because there are few places to drink, but there are many vendors. Very safe, but not advisable to run at night.
