Horto Florestal. This safe and well conserved park has mineral water fountains and toilets. The course is a 2.5 km loop around a soccer field and lakes. You can also run on a hill at the end of the park. All the course is shadowed and surrounded by Cantareira forestal reserve.

Parque Ecológico do Tietê, in the east zone, is a great place for running. It has 4,150 and 5,500 meters dirt-roads surrounded by the green. You can see the park pictures in the site http://sites.uol.com.br/ecotiete edited by myself.

Most advanced runners in Sao Paulo choose "Bosque do Morumbi" for running on Sundays and holidays (although it is so called by all runners, its official name is "Parque Alfredo Volpi"). It is a special place, with hills, with shadows and pure air.

Go to Ibirapuera Park and Cidade Universitaria Campus, the most popular places for runners. Take a little time to visit corpore.com.br, the site of São Paulo runners association. Maybe you can join them in one of their street races.

Parque Villa Lobos. Located at the West Zone of São Paulo, Parque Villa Lobos é an excellent place for running and walking. This well conserved park is full of trees and has good courses from 3 to 5 km. Unfortunately the courses don't have clear and simple marks. There are 2 access to the park: by Avenida Fonceca Rodrigues and by Avenida Queiroz Filho. There are many toilets (clean) and water fountains. There are also taps to give water for the dogs.

A great place for running and walking here at Santo Amaro neighborhood is the city Campo Grande. The place is full of trees and most of the streets are closed for traffic. The course is 2.5 km longer. This place is a paradise!
