Course Characteristics:
It is a flat course, with just two small hills, and the start is at 6 a.m. to prevent the usual Recide city hot weather. There are water stations every 5 k until the 25k and then water every 3k. There are also isotonics at 24k and 33k. This marathon usually doesn't have so many runners.

The city of Recife:
The fourth biggest city in Brazil, with more than a million and a half habitants, is known as "Brazilian Venice" because it is crossed by channels.
