Marathons in Blumenau and São Paulo

In July there were two great marathons in Brazil: the popular São Paulo and the fast Blumenau. Both confirmed their reputation.

Blumenau marathon produced fast times with Brazilian Rosa Jussara breaking the course record in 2:40:51. William Musyoki, from Kenya, won the men's race in 2:12:3, and Genílson Júnior was second in 2:13:00.

São Paulo marathon had also a participants record: 8,920. It makes this marathon the bigger ever held in Brazil. In the men's race another Kenyan victory with Stephen Rugut in 2:14:30. Brazilian Marizete Resende won the women's race in 2:38:58.
