Volta à Ilha de Florianópolis 155 Km

Are you brave enough to run 155 km (96 miles) over terrains like dirt, sand dunes and hills?

Eleven ultra-runners accepted this challenge and took part in the "Volta à Ilha" race, a loop around the gorgeous Santa Catarina island. The winner was Jaime Maria da Rocha with the new course record of 14:48.

More than 1,200 runners decided not to run all the 155k alone, and took part in the relay race. There were 143 teams of 8, 4 and 2 runners competing and the winner was the Brazilian Army Silva Paes Brigade team in 8:23.
