Where in the world can you find thousands of people, running more than 26 miles over hills, at 30 degrees Celsius and 88% of relative humidity, and finishing the race happy? This is the Curitiba International Marathon that had more than 2,000 athletes from 12 countries for its 6th edition.

Of course, this marathon is very hard, but the structure is excellent and the fans cheering along the course give the stimulus the runners need.

This year's winners were the brazilians José Pereira da Silva (2:22:04) and Maria do Carmo Guimarães (2:46:09). José, very surprised with his victory, declared that the warm weather, which he is used to, was his best ally.
