Rio de Janeiro Marathon is back after two years

After two years the city of Rio de Janeiro had its marathon back on June 29. This time the course was all along the seashore, no doubt one of the most beautiful of the World.

The warm weather and high humidity prevented fast times. Among the man, the winner was Alex Januário with the time of 2:16:39. Second place was Flávio Alves in 2:21:19, while Marcos dos Santos was third in 2:21:34. The female competition was won by Leoni Justino da Silva in 2:46:54.
